Microsoft offers a free virtual session on building apps for Windows Phone 8.1 Jump Start. You can join the session from the comfort of your own home and get started right away. It will be available for three days, from April 29 to May 1, 2014 at 9 – 5 PDT (days 1-2) and 9 – 12 PDT (day 3-).
All experienced software developers who have knowledge in object-oriented design are welcome to attend. It is helpful to have some knowledge of C# and XAML. It is not necessary to have any previous experience in developing Windows Phone 8 apps.
