The move towards a digital, sustainable, and resilient future
Between October 20-22, the Annual Investment Meeting, organized by the Ministry of Economy UAE, was held under the patronage of HH Sharif Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. I was also invited as a panelist to the event.
Over 15,000 delegates came from over 170 countries to participate in the virtual conference, whose theme was “Reimagining Economies – The Move Towards a Digitized, Sustainable and Resilient Future”.
We discussed how cybercriminals have moved their focus to home networks, as millions of employees work remotely. Cybersecurity professionals need to get back to basics and approach cybersecurity holistically, looking at operational, managerial, and strategic perspectives.
We also covered IoT security and social engineering. When managing cyber risk in the new norm, resilience, creativity, flexibility and agility are all hallmarks of a successful startup.
